Our Farm
We specialize in raising happy and healthy animals on our small family farm. All of our cows, pigs and chickens have names and we celebrate their personalities and quirks.
Our Story
The things we go through give us perspective. After living through adversity, including the death of Jennifer’s first husband and Harrison and Aidan’s dad, Tony, to leukemia in 2014 – we knew how important it was to follow our dreams now. Life can be short and unpredictable – but it is also a marvellous gift. We wanted to raise our boys Harrison and Aidan where they can be closer to nature. We wanted to raise our own food. We wanted to enjoy the peace and beauty of living in one of the most beautiful places on Earth: Caledon, Ontario.
Our farm is small and we do everything ourselves. There are happy moments like when babies are born. There are sad moments where we have to say goodbye to old friends. We are so grateful for the opportunity to be together and enjoy our furry and feathered friends!
Meet the Family
So nice to meet you!
Jean-Francois Morin
Farmer and Dad
Jean-Francois is from just outside Montreal. He is now enjoying life as a Franco-Ontarian 🙂 His favorite part about being in Ontario is that there is less snow. He misses being close to his adult children Louis-Philippe and Laurence and loves when they visit! Jean-Francois is a veritable pied piper – as he works on the farm you regularly see a trail of cows or chickens following him around the property.
Jennifer Casu-Morin
Mom, Beekeeper & Animal Whisperer
Jennifer is from New Brunswick but had the opportunity to live in many placed in her life. The most beautiful of all is Chickadee Hill. One of Jennifer’s favorite pastimes is caring for our bees. “I am terrible at meditation, however, bee keeping allows me to focus and center my mind.” Jennifer is grateful to work for a marvelous Canadian company – Loblaw / Shoppers Drug Mart where she looks after Enterprise Pharmacy Operations. Her favorite part of the day is returning to Chickadee Hill Farm and hanging out with our animals.
Harrison and Aidan Casu
Sons and Farm Hands Extraordinaire
Harrison and Aidan were born in Fremont Nebraska. Their mom Jennifer and step-dad Jean-Francois are super proud of their hardwork and problem solving skills. Harrison and Aidan love exploring outside. Aidan is an expert at finding interesting things like deer antlers and bones. Harrison is a talented beekeeper. Both boys look after our chickens and collect eggs. Last summer they sold our eggs at our farm gate raising money to travel to Iceland and Ireland with their Aunt Kirsten.
